This gracious old cape has a commanding view of Carver's Harbor and all its activities, is just a short walk from the Lane's Island Nature Preserve, the jewel of Vinalhaven. The recent addition of a sliding glass door in the dining/living room opens the house to the view of this favorite location. The kitchen has all fairly new appliances, including washer and dryer, but retains the charm of this old island home. There is one bedroom downstairs with a king bed. There is also a full bath on the first floor. Up a set of seriously steep steps, are two additional bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each. These two rooms with their walls and ceilings paneled with old matchstick pine are decorated with artwork and memorabilia of the owner's now grown children. It's an easy walk into town. The house will sleep 6, has TV & VCR & cable, pets are allowed for an additional $100 fee. $1800/week.
